These days almost anyone with a camera and a business card considers themselves a “Photographer.” I think of myself as a “Portrait Artist.” What makes me different? Many don’t always consider several essential factors: Posing, even so-called candid work has to be adjusted to look right, even when working with professional models.
Positioning elements such as space between subjects and their relationships relative to the group, facial expressions, not just smiles, but ensuring smiles are natural. Camera angle, height, knowing the characteristics of a given focal length lens Lighting, exposure, foreground, and background including items that detract or add to the image—optimizing the exposure triangle. Okay, I will stop now, but you get the point!
The short version is that I went to college, night classes and ongoing training. I also had mentors (life is too short to learn all by oneself!) I’ve done this for over four decades and worked with thousands of families. Bottom line: You are in good hands; I guarantee my work (Reshoot or money back) - I want you to be happy with your wall portraits.
We enjoyed the photo shoot and how Peter worked with each of us to get the best photos. When there was a problem with the coating on a couple prints, he took them back and had they completely redone. Now they are perfectly finished and look great. Thank you, Peter, for making this easy and enjoyable.

I had a sitting for professional photos. I hate having my photo taken and Peter made it easy. I was very happy with how they turned out. He was also very accommodating because I was running on a tight schedule.

Peter captured our family beautifully and I am so happy that we chose him to take out family pictures. We will be using him for future photoshoots!

I have been involved in the entertainment industry on and off since I was about eight years old, but circumstances never worked out that I was able to get headshots done. I decided to put my trust in A.E. Cross Studio because I had seen samples of their work on display at the local trade shows and thought them to be very professional. Anyway, I was nervous when I got there, but Peter put me totally at ease and helped me to relax enough to take some great shots. I am a total novice when it comes to getting pictures taken, but Peter was totally cool and patient about it. I just got the photos back today and they are worth every penny I spent!

Had photos done & although there was a technical issue with the 1st batch, Peter resolved the issue promptly, had the pictures reprinted & all was made good. Peter was very professional throughout the entire process & we would recommend Peter to anyone.
