Preparing for your Portrait Session |
Basic Preparation: Clothing should be fairly simple and avoid large patterns. Medium tones are particularly easy to work with and look good on most backgrounds. Ensure that colors blend and do not clash. It is better to wear one or two basic colors. Clothing should reflect the individual's personality and may be dressy or casual. Dresses and tops with sleeves are recommended, bare arms are usually not flattering. Try to avoid tight clothing. If your session is scheduled for early morning or if children who take naps are in the group, be sure to be up in sufficient time before the session to avoid puffy eyes. Make up: Evening make up, more foundation than usual. Please ensure that shiny areas are powdered; this also applies to men. Graduates: V neck for girls (see above for make up), boys white shirt and tie before arriving at the studio, if you do not have these items we can provide them. |
